The Parc Beaux-Arts Hotel in Luxembourg is another lovely, small boutique hotel that met our Fab-Hotel criteria. The hotel is part of the Goeres Group Luxembourg.
We chose the small and charming Parc Beaux-Arts Hotel because it is situated in the heart of the old town in Luxembourg City, and the hotel is a beautifully and artistically restored historic residence where the architectural remains have been skillfully incorporated into each of its nine Suites and two Deluxe Suites.

The hotel is conveniently located within a minute or two walk to one of the historic market squares, the Place d’Armes, and only a few more minutes walking to the city’s largest square, the Place Guillaume II, both of which are filled with restaurants and cafes. The hotel is also perfectly located for sightseeing. The Grand Ducal Palace, the Casemates and Cathedral Notre-Dame, are just a few of the amazing and historic places nearby.

Upon our arrival, we were able to park temporarily just outside the hotel, and as we checked in, the wonderfully welcoming host Alan, concierge, day manager (and actually wearer of many hats depending upon what is needed!), called a parking attendant to valet our car in the hotel’s parking lot. If you are driving, this particular convenience was wonderful. As you may know, parking in historic cities can be a nightmare! When we needed the car again the next day for a day tour of the Luxembourg countryside, it was promptly delivered back to the front of the hotel and we made an easy exit from the city.
Speaking of Alan, we were very impressed with his knowledge of the history and art of Luxembourg as he personally mapped out a walking tour for us and made suggestions for seeing the city sights and we appreciated his friendly attention during our entire stay. In fact, everyone on the staff was wonderful to us and even provided an electric fan for our room when we requested one.

We had booked one of the two Deluxe Suites for our stay, and were delighted to find it was decorated in a modern artistic style with original artwork, while still retaining the overall historic feel throughout the rest of the hotel. Jim and I particularly like suites, because we can stow suitcases and clothes and jackets in the bedroom, leaving the lounge area as a tidy and restful sitting area. It’s a nice space to have available after a long day of sightseeing!
The bed was super comfortable with crisp white sheets, and the bathroom was sparkling clean with a high window that let in lots of bright morning light. Jim and I have a pet peeve about dim bathrooms, so we loved this light-filled room.
Breakfast was not included, but we decided to eat at the hotel for convenience and were impressed with the fresh meats and cheese, yogurt and array of breads and rolls. We decided to try their omelets made with local ham and cheese and they were delicious! We enjoyed our breakfast in the pretty bar area which was made up as a cozy breakfast room in the mornings.
We stopped back to have a last late night champagne in this stylish hotel bar before heading to bed, and the artistic décor, now lit for evening was just the relaxing ambiance we needed to end our busy day!
The only caveat to this wonderful hotel was the street noise we could hear in our room in the evening due to the holiday revelers at the bars along the street, but a little bit of street noise is the price for being in the historic center and in our case, for arriving the day before a national holiday (Ascension Day). Everyone was celebrating!
So bring your ear-plugs if you plan to go to bed early on a holiday weekend, but our recommendation would be to enjoy your evening out at the wonderful restaurants and bars or sitting outside at a cafe table while listening to the bands that play in the gazebo on the square, and go to bed a little later. It is your vacation after all! Do some partying!

In our opinion, Parc Beaux-Arts is a warm welcoming hotel where you can enjoy staying in a charming, historic residence designed with beautiful modern décor and staffed with friendly helpful people. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!
